Nobody’s daughter

Drawn on music, a portrait of Courtney Love – blossoming decay,
beautiful dreadfulness, a ravenous little bird, a lethal story on the edge of
raw energy.
“Sunset Marquis” features on Nobody’s Daughter, Love’s last album,
taming madness and conquering darkness…

Sketches from my trip to Thailand: Bangkok, the Middle Way, Chiang Mai

BANGKOK: a jungle in continuous movement and flow, that swallows in its dense and giddy universe, where everything’s piled up, stacked and tangled like tropical creepers. Communist system, where everyone works together, to lead the visitor, regardless the road, to the same sale spot. Everything’s for sale in Bangkok: 20 baht, 50 baht, 5000 baht; pad thai, foot massage, Versace, Bouddha or the young Thai girl…

In the chaos applies the principle of the MIDDLE WAY

THE MIDDLE WAY: the path that leads to liberation,
the path of moderation between the extremes of indulgence and austerity,
the path of wisdom, of dynamic teaching. Buddha realized its meaning when he sat
by a river and heard a lute player in a passing boat, and understood that the lute
string must be tuned neither too tight, nor too loose, to produce a harmonious sound.

Bouddha likes to be offered Coca Cola, even in Chiang Mai, in the mountains,
where the tribes preserve their richest customs…

Ta nasza mlodosc z kosci i krwi / Our sweet youth of bones and blood
Ta nasza młodość co z czasu kpi / Our sweet youth that mocks the time
Co nie ustoi w miejscu zbyt długo / Which doesn’t keep standing long enough
Ona co pierwszą jest potem druga / Which is the first then the second one
Ta nasza młodość ten szczęsny czas / Our sweet youth the happy time
Ta para skrzydeł zwiniętych w nas / This pair of wings hidden in us
….
Drawing inspired by T. Sliwiak’s poem , interpreted by the famous

Watch film

An Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge, is originally a short story, by Ambrose Bierce (1842-1914), an American journalist, satirist, who had also served the Union Army as First Lieutenant. He has been known for cynical and dark stories, influenced by his war experience. An Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge is set during the American civil war (1861-1865) and describes the execution of a confederate spy, Peyton Farquhar. In 1962, French film director Robert Enrico (Fait d’hiver 1999, Le Secret 1974) adapts the story into a short film, that earns him an academy award. Enrico’s film explores different relations between psychological, dramatic and physical time, as well as temporal design methods for expanding time and projecting into the future. Read more →

JC initials

My initials’ figurative meaning: J and C form a sand clock, a body that
conveys time, as well as mutable and dual identity. My feet are rooted
like a tree trunk.

…and it reminds me that ”eternity is now”
